A step-by-step picture guide. It takes about 5 minutes with your TV remote — every step has a photo of exactly what you'll see on the screen.
Downloader is the little helper that fetches Streams onto your TV. You only do this part once.
Grab your remote and go to the home screen of the TV box.
Press the settings button (or long-press Home) so the side menu slides out, then choose All apps.
Scroll through the list and look for Downloader — it has an orange icon with a white “D”.
If Downloader isn't in the list, scroll down and open the Play Store.
At the top of the Play Store, move up to Search and click it.
Start typing downloader with the on-screen keyboard. You can pick the suggestion “downloader by aftvnews” as soon as it pops up.
In the results, choose Downloader by AFTVnews — the orange one with the white “D”.
On the app page, click Install and give it a moment to finish.
When Install turns into Open, click it to start Downloader.
Downloader fetches Streams with one short code.
Downloader opens to this screen. Move up to the long white bar at the top that says “Click here to enter a URL, Short Code, or Search Term” and click it. (If a welcome message is in the way, just dismiss it.)
Type this code with the number pad:
A page appears and forwards you to the app automatically — you don't need to click anything. The download starts on its own.
One quick permission the first time, then install.
The first time, your TV may say it “isn't allowed to install unknown apps from this source.” That's normal — click Settings.
In the Install unknown apps list, highlight Downloader and click it so the switch turns on (blue). Then press the Back button on your remote once to return.
Now the TV asks “Do you want to install this app?” — click Install.
When you see App installed, click Open to jump straight in — or Done. From now on, Streams lives in your app list like any other app.
